Fellowship and Service

Churches are frequently criticised for all sorts of things including being too much like a glorified social club. That sounds to me to be exactly what a church should be like, alongside meeting the other physical and spiritual needs of a community.

The fellowship steering committee meets periodically to consider practical ways of promoting healthy social interaction among church members and anyone else who is interested. New ideas are always welcomed and considered but at present the following events are regularly included in the church calendar:

• Church summer picnic

• Welcome back Pot-luck lunch

• New members’ dinner

• What Christmas means to me (Supper and Entertainment)

• Holy Soles walking group

• Men Re-tyred outings

• COG- overseas students support group
