Purpose: To help each girl gain confidence in herself and with other
girls.
To explore and develop skills which will be helpful in the future.
Above all, through the actions and words of the leaders, to create
a desire within each girl to commit her life to God.
1st Whiteabbey Girl Guide Company was one of the first companies
in Northern Ireland. It was registered 6th April 1925.
During the guiding year we aim to cover a large number of subjects.
We work as per the guide framework. During the clear evenings, weather
permitting, the company will be doing outside activities.
Time of meeting – 7.00 – 8.30 Wednesday
Time of year – Mid September – Mid June
N.B. Guides have not been operational during 2007/8 but may open again
in the autumn 2008. |
